Tattoo FAQ
Do I need a consultation before booking?
Yes. Every tattoo starts with a clear conversation. A consultation lets us align on your vision, placement, and scale so the final piece is crisp, timeless, and personal to you.
How do I book an appointment?
Once we’ve had a consultation, booking is simple. A deposit secures your spot on my calendar, and the remaining balance is due the day of your session.
How much do you charge?
I am bookable only for full days. Every tattoo is custom, and I’ll give you clear expectations during the consultation so there are no surprises.
Do you take walk-ins?
No. Every piece I create is fully custom. I don’t rush tattoos—I give each design the same focus and precision I’d want on my own skin.
How should I prepare for my session?
- Get a full night’s rest.
- Eat a good meal before coming in.
- Stay hydrated.
- Avoid alcohol or blood thinners at least 24 hours before.
Think of it like training—your body needs fuel and rest so we can work clean and smooth.
Does it hurt?
Tattooing will always involve some discomfort, but with my black & gray style, the process tends to be smoother and easier than people expect. Most clients are surprised at how manageable it feels.
Can I bring a friend with me?
You’re welcome to bring one person for support, but I encourage clients to come solo when possible. It helps keep the focus on your experience and allows me to work distraction-free.
How long will my tattoo take to heal?
Healing typically takes 2–3 weeks, but your skin continues to settle for a few months. I’ll walk you through proper aftercare so your tattoo heals crisp and stays sharp for years.
What if I live far from Staten Island?
Many of my clients travel for their sessions. If you’re coming from out of town, we can coordinate to make the most of your trip with back-to-back days or extended sessions.
Do you do cover-ups or touch-ups?
Yes—depending on the piece. I’ll be honest if a cover-up isn’t possible or if your idea would be better served with fresh skin. Touch-ups are included with my work if needed after healing.
How do I take care of my tattoo after the session?
I’ll send you home with clear aftercare instructions, but the basics are:
- Keep it clean, lightly moisturized, and out of the sun.
- Avoid swimming, soaking, or heavy sweating during the healing phase.
- Treat it like an investment—it’ll last you a lifetime if you take care of it.
